ChakDe Albany invites teams to register to play in ChakDe 2013 Tournament, 11 a side Hard Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament.

WINNER UP TROPHY, RUNNER UP TROPHY will be awarded. PLUS CASH PRIZE for WINNERS AND RUNNERS.

SUNY/RPI/NANO/OUTSIDE teams Discounted price: $110**

**- Help required from these teams during tournament. Organigers will contact once registered.

All proceedings will be utilized for Social cause such Medical/Educational Camps for poor people in India.

General Rules

PLEASE NOTE: ORGANIZER's DECISION IS FINAL and ALL TEAMS MUST OBEY THE RULES OF THE TOURNEY.

  1. Each team could have 2 extra players. But only 11 players listed are allowed to bat and bowl. Extra players are used as substitute fielders only.
  2. All players registered in one team cannot play for another team under any circumstances. Otherwise player will be disqualified from playing for any team. NO NEW PLAYERS ALLOWED for joining a team middle of the tournament. Squad of 15 players should be registered and only those players are allowed to play. NO EXCUSES PLEASE.
  3. All matches will be played with a hard tennis ball.
  4. Each team should nominate TWO PLAYERS for help with organizing the tournament.
  5. Captain chooses to bat or field after winning a coin toss before the start of each game.
  6. Umpire's decision is final. In the event of any controversy the final decision will be made by the tournament organizers.
  7. No Leg Byes, No LBWs. BATSMAN SHOULD NOT COVER WICKETS COMPLETELY BEFORE BALL IS RELEASED FROM BOWLER END. Bowler should appeal to UMPIRE before bowl.
  8. The team should arrive atleast 30 min prior to their game, just in case the previous game is done early.
  9. No show - Penalty - forfeiting the game (15 min wait time after scheduled start time)
  10. Stumps and balls will be provided by the organizers. Teams are responsible for bringing their own bats.
  11. Please follow safety measures and take additional precautions, tools, safe guards to prevent any injuries.

The Game Rules



  1. A game consists of a maximum of TEN/TWELVE/FIFTEEN overs (6 BALLS PER OVER) bowled by each team. 
  2. In a match of 10 overs only ONE bowlers can bowl max of 3 overs.
  3. In a match of 12 overs only TWO bowlers can bowl max of 3 overs.
  4. In a match of 15 overs only TWO Bowler can bowl maximum of 4 overs.
  5. No LBW.
  6. ON THE LINE IS WIDE BALL.
  7. ONE BOUNCE IS ALLOWED IN A OVER.
  8. No leg byes.
  9. Runs are allowed for over-throws
  10. Wide ball will be adjudicated by the umpire.  Penalty  - additional run & an extra ball.
  11. Should a bowler deliver a no ball by overstepping the popping crease, it costs 1 run and an extra ball. "NO free-hit".
  12. A ball is declared dead if the ball bounces twice before reaching the batsman. No penalty, ball will be bowled again.
  13. No last not out batsman will bat.
  14. Bi-Runner Rule : A batsman can have a bi-runner if his team is chasing, and the batsman got hurt during the same match. Bi-Runner is not allowed for the same batsman in subsequent matches.
  15. A batsman can choose to retire at any point in the game but at the end of the over only. If a batsman retires, he cannot come back till the last man is out. First retired batsman bat first.
  16. Substitution is allowed for an injured player anywhere in a game. But for next games the injured player may not be substituted again. A substitute can participate as long as he is registered for that team.
  17. In the event of a tie, the team that has lost lesser number of wickets is the winner. If both teams have lost the same number of wickets, the team that scores the runs in lesser number of balls. If the game is still unresolved, we will have a super over. The rules relevant to this will be explained if and when necessary. 
  18. In case of rain we shall reschedule the games/format/duration/rules, depending on the condition of the ground, ensuring fairness.
  19. At the end of each game the captains must sign the final score sheet.
